Hammer-headed bats were kept in captivity at the Bronx Zoo of New York all the way back in the ’80s, and are still seen at the Wrocław Zoo in Poland. Also commonly called the hammer-headed fruit bat or the hammerhead bat, it has the scientific name Hypsignathus monstrosus.
