About Cleo Moore Cleo Moore, or Cleouna Moore, was an American actress mostly seen in the role of a blonde bombshell in ’50s Hollywood films.Cleo moved to Hollywood during the ’40s and appeared in some minor films. She performed well, and in 1948, she made her film debut with ‘Embraceable You.’ In the same year, she appeared in the 15-chapter Columbia serial ‘Congo Bill.’ She then worked for Warner Brothers in 1950 for a brief time and with RKO Radio Pictures from 1950-to 1952. In her film, ‘The Other Woman,’ she played the role of a bit player who strikes the movie director for revenge.However, in 1954, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana-born Cleo Moore’s career began to decline in Columbia Pictures when the studio signed a contract with newcomer Kim Novak. They started molding Novak as its new star on the lot. She made her final appearance in the movie ‘Hit and Run’ alongside her sister, Mara Lea, in 1957.
